Hi! I'm Jane, a 24-year-old aspiring multimedia journalist based in Atlanta, GA. Born and raised here as a Korean-American.

I graduated from Georgia State University in December 2024 with a degree in Journalism, specializing in multimedia reporting, and a minor in Marketing.

I began college as a Biology major with dreams of becoming a veterinarian. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, but it wasn’t until the end of my freshman year that I decided to switch my major to Journalism. Despite some initial disappointment from my family (except my mom, who has always been my biggest supporter), I followed my instincts and switched to Journalism.

Writing has always been second nature to me. Whether it was journaling through hard times, writing essays, or enjoying my English lectures, storytelling felt less like work and more like a purpose. 

Over time, I’ve come to see journalism as more than just a career—it’s a calling to give voice to the voiceless and help people better understand each other and the world we live in.

When I’m not reporting or writing, you’ll find me doing Pilates, binge-watching Netflix, or hanging out with my slightly chaotic orange cat, Whiskey.
